It's been clarified repeatedly.
It's been debunked thoroughly.
And yet, shit like this is still popular and believable enough to get on the Recommended List.
Good Lord, folks.
Obama has said before that his "politics of hope" isn't just praying that everyone gets along, holds hands and sings campfire songs until the country gets better. I know it's a lot of fun to pretend it is, because that's a hell of an easy strawman to knock down, but it's quite simply not what Obama believes.
He believes in giving people their fair say. He believes in dealing politely with all people from all areas. And he also believes that if he has to, he'll politely move obstructionists out of his way while he does what's best for the country.
This whole, tired spin about "holding hands and singing Kumbayah" was stupid BEFORE it was clear that it was also bullshit.
Obama can work across the aisle, can get people to sit and compromise. He can also realize when compromise won't work and act accordingly.
There are plenty of reasons to prefer one candidate over another.
Must we really resort to factually incorrect spinjobs to attack each other's candidates? Can't we please try and stay in reality?
DISCLOSURE: I don't support any candidate; I support a cessation of using bullshit to attack all the candidates.
