Kentuckians hoping to ditch Mitch in the Senate race here in our state got some bad news today. Millionaire Bruce Lunsford, a Democrat in name that can self finance has gotten into the Democratic Primary for the Senate seat held by McConnell. So you say, hey a Democrat that can self finance, great!! But follow after the fold to see why this is not good at all.
Bruce Lunsford wants the Democratic nomination to run for our Senate seat? Thats funny, I thought he was a Republican. His past contributions to Kentucky Republicans have angered many within our party. Myself included. That is why he was roundly defeated in the Governor primary last year. Kentucky Democrats know the truth about Bruce Lunsford. Just look at this info, and you will see what I mean. Here are some of Lunsford's political contributions from the last eleven years:

Amazing huh? Now, guess who apparently actually urged this guy to run:
UPDATE 5:20 p.m.: Lunsford told reporters that he was strongly encouraged to run by U.S. Senate Democratic Leaders, Sen. Charles Schumer of New York and Sen. Harry Reid of Nevada.

Unbelievable. Why would our leadership want a Senator with this kind of record in supporting candidates our party has been desperately trying to defeat for years? We definately do not need any more fair-weather Democrats like Bruce Lunsford in the Senate. I hope our leadership is just pinching pennies which is sad.
So what to do? This DINO can self-finance which is huge in this state. Kentucky is not a wealthy state and it is difficult for even the best of candidates to raise money here. We don't need McConnell or a DINO in the Senate.
We have several awesome Senate candidates running in the Democratic Primary here in Kentucky to replace McConnell. One of them is Andrew Horne. I am supporting him to be our nominee to run against McConnell. He is facing an uphill fight and now is up against two multi-million dollar candidates on both side of the isle. He is a Marine and Iraq War veteran who will fight for Democrats. Please consider our next President, whomever it is will need a Senate where his/her agenda will not be constantly fillibustered. Andrew Horne will be one more solid vote for Democratic vision.
Please help us to nominate Andrew Horne!! Please go to his site and learn about him and why I am so excited to have a Democrat like Lt. Col. Horne running in this race!!:

More importantly, go and support a Democrat, not a DINO and help him with the funds he will need to compete in this million dollar race!!

We can beat Mitch McConnell with national help, but we have to make sure we help the right candidate!! Please join me in supporting Andrew Horne in his bid for our nomination, and against McConnell in the fall!!
Please watch too in the coming days as I will be telling you about an awesome candidate who announced to run for Congress in Kentucky's First District against Exxon Ed Whitfield, Heather Ryan!! Here is her announcement vid:
We are getting a website, and ActBlue page and putting together some issues. We will need your support very soon!!!
Best wishes from Western Kentucky fellow Democrats!!
