I just recently spoke on the phone with the good folks over at CCAG about the upcoming McCain appearance in Connecticut. For those that do not know yet. McCain will be with two equally disturbing characters on Sunday at 1:00 on the Sacred Heart University's Fairfield campus. Anti-war groups, such as CCAG, have operations under way to prepare for this event. If you are anywhere close to Connecticut, you should be there to stand up for good, honest government.
Oh, and show up early, like 12:00
McCain will be making a campaign appearance at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT at 1:00 on super bowl Sunday. This is a coalition of the sleazy.
McCain: We all know this "straight talker." Mr. 100 years war. He is the one that took a stand in the face of the President against torture, but caved entirely on all of Bush's demands. He has buddied up with the same people that ran the push-polling operation against him in 2000. You remember, the one where they asked if you would vote for McCain if he had an illegitimate, black child (he doesn't by the way). He's the same guy that lambasted anyone that panders to the fair right in 2000, only to praise Jerry Falwell a few years later.
Lieberman: Yep, the same one that lost the Democratic primary in CT because of his stance on the war, then ran as an independent, under the CT for Lieberman Party) against Ned Lamont. He's also the same guy that promised he would withdraw officially from the Democratic Party (he's still a registered dem) and that he would help the Democrats get into the White House in 2008. Now he is helping McCain (not a democrat) and since he is registered dem, he has decided to not vote in the primary. Can we believe anything this d-bag says?
Shays: This one is my favorite (slight sarcasm). This guy is the only encumbent Republican in all of New England to hold his seat in 2006. He campaigned on ending the war, but has voted against every measure to do so. He recently came out as against torture, but has voted against every measure to end it. He is quoted as saying that Blackwater has a "perfect record." That's right, "perfect." He also hires the same people that ran the sleaze campaign against McCain in 2000. Do these guys actually think playing on people's racism in an election is forgivable?
Anyways, come on down, make an appearance on behalf of good, honest government. Word is that several anti-war groups are in the midst of organizing efforts around this event. The more people that show up, the more powerful a message it will send.
