Look how cool this logo is:
It was designed for me by our kossack graphic artist Irishkorean.
Do you know who thinks their logo is cooler?
That's right, the same people who are so delusional they think Mike Bloomberg should be president.
Here's what one Draft Bloomberg supporter wrote:
Hey, I work on the real effort to Draft Mike Bloomberg at UniteForMike.com - and our logo is way cooler!
Are we as kossacks going to take that?
Oh, hell no! Go sign my petition to Draft Carnacki instead of Bloomberg.
Here's what another Draft Bloomberg person wrote of my campaign:
What, exactly, are you looking for in a candidate? Do you know anything about Bloomberg, his positions, or his qualifications?
True, the petition numbers have not exactly taken off. It is competing against the media coverage of two major party primaries taking place. I'm inclined to think that most voters are waiting to see who the nominees are first, before looking at alternatives. I suspect Bloomberg is doing the same, and if he chooses to run, won't decide until that time anyway.
None the less. I would like to see him run, and I know a lot of other people that think he would be good for the country as well.
Run Mike Run
Best of luck with your petition.
cheers,
ChrisG
So what am I looking for in a candidate?
Well, not me for one thing. I'll take the house and the vacation lodge in Maryland, but I don't want me running the country as president (I see myself more as a king, really).
My goal is this as I state clearly in my petition:
At this point billionaire Mike Bloomberg, despite a massive marketing campaign and phony draft movement for president, has just 3,000 2,143 signatures.
I want to show a middleclassed horror blogger with a slighty insane reputation can draw even more signatures.
Petition:
We, the undersigned, believe voters would prefer Carnacki as president than billionaire New York mayor Michael Bloomberg.
So while my phony draft campaign is a joke, this isn't:
I've never cheered Bush as Bloomberg has. I've never supported the Iraq fiasco as Bloomberg has. I've never spoken approvingly of the extremist Republican agenda at a GOP fundraiser while saying something else in the media as Bloomberg has. I've never joked about Bush's failure to capture or kill Osama bin Laden as Bloomberg has. I've never made excuses for the federal government's slow response to help those from Hurricane Katrina as Bloomberg has. I've never confused Iraq as being part of the "war on terror" as Bloomberg has. I've never bought an election as Bloomberg has. And I've never, ever had a billionaire dollars as Bloomberg has.
But I know opportunities to embarrass billionaires don't come everyday and it'd be terrible to let this one go by.
