We are all used to Senator Specter talking a good game when it comes to holding the Bush administration accountable and then folding like a house of cards as soon as it comes time to actually do something about.
Well this time he seems serious. Follow me below the fold for more.
Arlen Specter said the following in a recent phone interview with the NY Times:
What if there was something on the tapes we might want to be subpoenaed, for example? You can't destroy it. That would be obstruction of justice," Specter said to The Times.
So he's finally going to go after the torturers. He's finally going to get to the bottom of the US attorney scandal. This time he means business about the illegal spying on US citizens.
Well it would have been nice if Specter were talking about one of those issues when he spoke to the Times' reporter, but unfortunately Specter was talking about the New England Patriots.
