I am in agony.
I can't decide between Obama or Clinton... and at this point there is no new information which I can receive which will help me make up my mind. I have immersed myself in policy details, carefully watched debates to evaluate style and efficacy, absorbed the various political tactics and strategies employed, and consulted with trusted and respected friends and colleagues. And still I don't know. There are some things I really like about Obama, there are some things I really like about Clinton. I've got some concerns about Clinton, I've got some concerns about Obama.
But here's the thing... this rocks! I watched the debate last Thursday and came away convinced that I was looking at the next President of the United States. I've got a choice between two historic, inspiring, intelligent, compassionate, passionate, and viable options.
I know there are passionate people supporting Obama, who will say that Clinton is the wrong choice, I know that there are passionate people who are supporting Clinton, who will say that Obama is the wrong choice. But I love that about both candidates. Their ability to inspire different people is awesome.
Regardless of who is chosen, by the party and then the people, I don't believe that a miracle will occur next January and all of our problems will be solved. But I do know that regardless of who takes the oath, we will have a new day in this country, and new chance for our future.
So come Tuesday, I have no idea who I will vote for... can I vote twice?
