Amidst all of our hopes and dreams, our valiant efforts for our three candidates Clinton, Obama, and Edwards (who deserves much more than just being excluded from the results).
I wish for Hillary, with all my heart. I've been around for a long, long time. I've seen her fight from the day one when the Republicans started against her in Arkansas. She married Bill way before there was any inkling of him becoming anything. He was a poor student hippy back then. She had come around from being a Goldwater Girl at the age of 16, to becoming a believer in Martin Luther King.
Bill and Hillary wanted to change the world. They married each other for love and the same beliefs: equal rights for all.
Bill was elected Governor of Arkansas, even though he was basically a Hippy, one of those, and his wife was the same kind of thing. How they did it escapes me, but they did NOT come from elite families/dynasties.
She early on in her life rejected the Goldwater/Republican philosophy she had been brought up in her own family, and joined Martin Luther King.
Her philosophy ever since then has been consistent.
But I don't even want to get hung up in this.
I really, really want Hillary to become our president right now.
She's worked so hard for women, children, families, and veterans, plus so much more.
I know that I will not get much mileage from a potential comment war, so just let me offer a song, with the hope that we can get behind the message for all of us.
I love Hillary first. I believe she's the best.
I love Obama as well...and will give him all my love and support to help him achieve the things we ALL want.
Here's the song, and may we all hear the message of it:
