In the wake of today's "scandal" about David Shuster’s use of the word pimp and the Clinton campaigns positively Rovian use of manufactured outrage to yes, pimp the scandal, it has become more obvious then ever that the Clintons will take us all down with them and they really don't care.
UPDATE: It gets worse - I guess the Clintons have "declared war" on MSNBC and are threatening to not appear for a debate scheduled in Ohio. I mean seriously WTF? Declare war on the one network that is actually balanced to Dems because of a comment by one reporter?

David Shuster used the word pimp. To those of us under the age of 100 who have operating televisions and radios that tune into something other than PBS we understand that the word has entered the common vernacular (I am waiting for the Clinton camp to take on MTV next).
Still it was ill advised given his position and if the Clintons had called him on it in a reasonable manner than this would be non-issue. A simple phone call from Hillary to Shuster, asking for an apology would have worked.
But this has nothing to do with the fact he used the word pimp and has everything to do with winning today's news cycle.
Even if is hurts every other Democrat out there.
But the Clintons have decided to go to war with the one major news network that has been a beacon in these dark days of Bush. The network that gave us Keith Olberman and his wonderful special comments. The network that was not afraid to actually report and call Bush on some of his worst transgressions. Instead of muzzling Olberman they, yes, pimped, him into a position to actually take on the odious Falafel man.
And the Clintons, and her supporters, are gleefully tearing down all of this.
They would rather win this news cycle then worry about the one cable news station that is at least fair to Democrats.
Because it is all about them, always has been and always will be.
