This diary is a reaction to all the inflammatory campaign posts that have been going around lately.
I'm not sure if there is a way to tell extremely emotional people to chill without seeming completely berate the attitudes and concerns of the commenter, but here goes. All this negativity and vitriol towards either side absolutely does no help to your candidate of choice; it also does nothing to tear down your opponent. If anything it emboldens your rivals to do the same and/or work even harder for their candidate of choice. I think there is one thing we can most assuredly agree on:
THE MOST IMPORTANT THING IS THAT WE DON'T ELECT A REPUBLICAN TO BE PRESIDENT THIS YEAR!
Let's face it the stakes are high this year. Given that tempers flare and emotions run high during these times I think it is important that we all step back and objectively look at the big picture here. No one can dispute that given the primary turnouts, campaign cash on hand, and the disastrous George Bush administration that a Democrat will be our next President. The country is screaming for it.
So I urge everyone that posts and reads here to please be respectful and in turn will get respect. Let's show the republicans that we can battle our ideas but our common respect and party unity will prevail through the rest of the primary and on to the White house. Thank you for your time.
