Hello Dailykos,
I figure with my first Diary I should take a moment to introduce myself. I am a young son of Kentucky currently attending law school in D.C. and thoroughly enjoying it. I founded and chaired a CDA chapter at my Undergrad institution and was a successful campaign adviser for a judicial election. I have the opportunity to work on GTOV in both Indiana and Kentucky. And I am also one of those upset Edwards supporters trying to figure it all out. I will always welcome the advice of readers here as I have valued reading this blog for a few years now. Now for the fun stuff.
So being a downtrodden Edwardian I recoiled into my KY political cocoon. I to solace in the fact that the amazing Col. Horne was running for senate, and being the upstanding individual he is, would blow Ol' Mitchy out of the water. We all know how that has turned out. So I was immensely upset. After that I took the time to begin researching my congressional district, #2, and finding out who might beat Ron Lewis. And oh Happy Day, Ronny retired. The best challenger thus far seems to be a state senator from Owensborough Ky, that has spent most of his senate career working on education. But thats not enough for me.
Today I did the most civic thing of my life. I sent two emails. One to State Senator Boswell, who is running in the #2 district, and one to a fellow named Greg Fischer who is running for the primary nod against Mitch. Let it be known I have no faith in Bruce Lunsford and would love to find out Greg is a top notch candidate. In that vein, my emails asked a few simple questions.
- What are your opinions of "Net Neutrality"?
- What are your views of the FISA bill and Teleco Amnesty?
- Do you have pressing concerns with the No Child Left Behind act?
- Do you have a particular preference in how health care reform occurs?
- What are your opinions of AG Mukasey?
- Do you have plans regarding labour and unions?
- Would you please open a website or a issues section on your site for the love of god?
I will let DailyKos know if I ever hear back.
And hey, I know Andrew Horne snoops around blogs a lot. And if your reading this Colonel, Thank You for everything you have done and are trying to do for our state.
Update: I just realized I forgot to ask these fine gentlemen the most important question. Cats or Cards?
