We have entered into the beginning of full-on attack politics from the Clinton campaign. Let's do something about it.
As has been well documented today on Kos, the newest reason not to vote for Barack Obama is that he used Deval Patrick's eloquent argument supporting the power words can have in a democracy.
Some attacks in politics are valid criticisms of the quality of a policy or the character of a candidate. Some attacks are intended to slime. This is clearly the latter.
Undoubtedly a commercial will be running soon, hoping to create the impression that Obama doesn't have his own ideas, thoughts or even speeches. It's these sort of petty, utterly absurd attacks that we, as Democrats, are used to hearing. Only we don't traditionally hear it from our own.
Can we elevate the discussion? Can we prove that you don't have to participate in this sort of derogatory slime to win in this country?
I have created a 'Plagiarize THIS!' fundraising campaign at Obama's website. Let's help fund the response that the Obama camp will undoubtedly need to combat the slime.
I am asking YOU to plagiarize me as much as possible and let's get the word out!
Plagiarize THIS!
Update: No, I can't spell. :)
