All over the progressive blogosphere there is outrage at the Clinton campaign. The Drudge Report had a great big headline "CLINTON STAFFERS CIRCULATE 'DRESSED' OBAMA" and people are outraged.
People, you are being played like a violin.
I posted about this photo yesterday, because several right-wing blogs were carrying it. Not one said anything about it coming from the Clinton campaign. Today the Drudge Report takes the opportunity to inject the photo to the mainstream and gets a twofer bonus, getting all the Obama supporters to blame the Clinton campaign.
People, please don't take the Drudge Report's word for it. The Drudge Report is not your friend. There is no reason to believe that "the Clinton campaign" is circulating this picture.
Why is it so hard for people to understand that the right wants us divided? Why is it so hard to see that they are working to set us against each other? Come on, people, Hillary Clinton is not your enemy, she is on our side.
Update - I left this as a comment below, but am putting it here (because I can): Do you really think the Clinton campaign believes that spreading a picture of Obama dressed like that is somehow going to cause even ONE Democrat to vote against Obama in the primaries?
Disclaimer - I have not endorsed Sen. Clinton or Sen. Obama. They are both great progressive leaders and would be great as President. I worked for Richardson for a while. I have written that my own philosophy is closer to what Edwards had been saying. Right now I am thinking that Obama getting the nomination might be a great thing because he is clearly bringing out many people who otherwise would not be inclined to vote and the country needs that.
