People of Daily Kos,
While many of you here deny that you are a member of a cult, I freely embrace it. I can say without hesitation that I only feel safe and happy when part of a mindless, ant-like collective that follows its leader without questions or complaints.
I really don't know what the problem with that is. But apparently some of you take umbrage at being called part of a cult. Weird.
Well, let me set you straight about a few things below the fold.
I'm currently a proud member of the Unification Church, often called "Moonies" by disparaging outsiders who simply WILL not accept that our leader, the Reverend Sun Myung Moon, and his wife are the Messiah and True Parents of all humanity.
Rev. Moon is no fly-by-night politician who gives pretty speeches. He's the Messiah. Period. Full stop. No ambigiuity there. (I hate ambiguity.)
I was married in a mass ceremony by the Great Father; one of tens of thousands of couples paired by the Church. Can your petty little candidates marry tens of thousands of people at once? Ha! I think not.
Have any of your puny little candidates been crowned "King of Peace" in ceremony at a U.S. Senate building? And declared outright that he was "sent to Earth . . . to save the world's six billion people. . . . Emperors, kings and presidents . . . have declared to all Heaven and Earth that Reverend Sun Myung Moon [or substitute your puny little candidate] is none other than humanity's Savior, Messiah, Returning Lord and True Parent?"
Feh. I doubt it. I really do.
I keep hearing about this "Obama" politician-man being the leader of a "cult," and I have to laugh. (After bring given proper permission by my local group leader, of course.)
Will this Obama make me work for years in a factory for free, making him rich beyond belief from the hard labor of myself and other followers?
Will he recruit insecure young followers by love-bombing them, taking them away from their families and prohibiting contact with same, depriving them of sleep and any substantial protein to eat, and controlling every micro-second of their existence?
Will your Obama's so-called "cult" browbeat me into submission by asserting that my very soul is at stake, and that I am a selfish spawn of Satan to do anything contrary to the will of the Great Father, however miniscule?
If not, I'm just not that impressed in this Obama fellow.
Nor am I interested in Obama's pseudo-cult. It sounds like he doesn't take his job as a cult leader seriously enough, and affords a scary degree of freedom and autonomy. I rejected the hell of independent thought long ago, and I have no desire to live through it again.
May you all find your way to the One True Father soon. Or else -- you know -- Hell, and stuff.
Goodbye, Daily Kos devilspawn. Have a nice day!!!
