Texas: Obama 45 Clinton 54
Ohio: Obama 47 Clinton 52
Vermont: Obama 60 Clinton 40
Rhode Island: Obama 48 Clinton 51
"My God, why such grim tidings!?" you might ask.
First, the people being polled in Texas are just lying. They're not really going to vote for Obama, except maybe in Austin. I've only been to Austin a couple times, but they seem like decent folk down there. Can't say the same for the rest of the state. About as backwards as they come, really.
Ohio is not quite the same deal, but close. Less backwards, but I'm more willing to believe Obama will outperform the polls, but only by a bit. Still a loss.
Vermont: Usual story. Obama kicks Hillary's ass by a wide margin. People in Vermont know their business. My favorite state in the union.
Rhode Island: They're just trying to be like Massachusetts. I mean, what's the deal with that place anyway? Providence is basically just Boston part deux, second rate Ivy League school and all. Also, the place smells like fish when it rains. Anyway, enough about Providence...
My bet is Hillary and the crew (with the 527 guys too, maybe) get in some hard hitting ads on Monday (though the 527 ads will be sophomoric crap). Obama's ads won't be enough to finish off Hillary, so it'll go to Pennsylvania and likely beyond.
If only Edwards were still around to absorb part of the racist vote. If he were still around, I think Obama would have a pretty good shot in Ohio and he'd be a sure thing in Texas. Just goes to show Edwards' departure wasn't without its drawbacks.
