he should really do a little more homework before he uses an unnamed Illinois state senator to spread fear, uncertanty and doubt about Barack Obama. In his column today, Krugman throws this in at the end -
And some Illinois legislators apparently feel that even there Mr. Obama got a bit more glory than he deserved. "No one wants to carry the ball 99 yards all the way to the one-yard line, and then give it to the halfback who gets all the credit," one state senator complained to a local journalist.
Now out of the 59 state senators in the Illinois General Assembly, I'm sure you could find one who would say that. There are 22 Republicans after all.
But I think the more telling thing about the senate where Barack Obama served for 8 years,is that they canceled their session yesterday and today because so many of his colleagues were going to Ohio to work for him.
I respect the work that Paul Krugman has done at the New York Times. He often seems like the only voice speaking to issues that I and the regular readers of this site find important.
But before he passes on the words of a single, unnamed Illinois Senator to trash Barack Obama, he should take the time to look at what the majority of Obama's senate colleagues really thing of him.
