Hillary is helping the Democratic Party right now.
With every new trick, scam, and attack ad she is winning the news cycle for the Democratic Party.
Think about it: How many news cycles have you seen lately where the leading story was about the Democratic primaries? Now,how many have been about Republicans?
Numbers and graphs after the fold.
"OMG I can't believe he's saying this!" -Obamamaniac123
I can't entirely believe it myself, but it is a realization that I've had. I voted for Obama in the California primary. Hillary's gutter tactics starting before SC have enraged me.
I was watching TV this weekend at a friend's house, and was flipping through the cable news channels. When I saw a story on the Republican primaries, I wondered aloud "Why are they covering this, this isn't news." The answer was obvious a half second later, I had flipped to FOX N(oise)ews.
The major story in every major news outlet over and over again is the Democratic race. The Republican side is an anemic holdover that no one really cares about, because there is no news there. As long as Hillary keeps duking it out, there will be more legitimate news stories on the dem side than the repub.
I've written my fair share of treatisies against Clinton and her dirty tricks throughout this election. And many have talked about how she is going to fracture the democratic party. Maybe she will, but if she doesn't, then the amount of focus, engagement, and excitement on our side will so outstrip republican's that we will no doubt have a democrat in the White House in 2009. And it will probably be Barack Obama.
