Tuesday was a powerful day. There are a lot of emotions running high.
But I kind of meant what I said in yesterday's C & J.
here
We're a community.
Don't step on too many throats today if you're gloating.
And don't cry that the world is ending if it doesn't go exactly how you want it.
It is crazy out there. It is Hurricane Katrina rage unleashed on the countryside. But in here....
There is peace.
So leave your vitriol in the chain-link "free speech zone" down the block.
Step in. Remind yourself that the world has many beautiful things, that America has many beautiful things, that the Democrats have many beautiful things and that only TOGETHER will we stand united against our many enemies.
And I'm serious!
This oasis isn't for gloating.
This oasis isn't for ranting.
This oasis isn't for hurtful snarking.
This oasis is for the many Daily'BigTent'KOS voices who want to want to show that today isn't all doom and gloom.
The truth of that matter is that I can't enforce these rules. I'm just one poster. If this diary gains traction, I hope the community brings the donuts to those who would defile the oasis.
I invite, no wait. I challenge you to come up with one nice thing to say about each presidential candidate, (and mean it)
I invite you to link to a diary about someone running for congress.
Jon Powers
who we going to unseat?
I invite you to post pootie and dog pics!
In the Hawaiian language, Aloha means hello, affection, love, peace, compassion, mercy, heck, it even means goodbye.
Namaste means "I bow to the divine in you"
Habibi in arabic means friend, or lover. (again the senitment is peace)
So sign with Aloha, Namaste, Habibi, Peace, or just a thumbs up.
Ok like they say in Bad Boys II.... WOOOOOOOOSA! (except for the last bit ;-)
PS: Even if in your heart, 'Aloha' today means goodbye, you can say it and when you come back, maybe it will mean hello again.
Like Meteor Blades says. "it starts with each of us"
Update: Or go sign the peace treaty!
