This seems so obvious, I’m sure it won’t be done.
If I were in the Obama camp, I’d arrange for a major speech
before a significant group of the Jewish Community
(ala JFK before the Baptist Convention),
sometime in the next three weeks.
Lord knows, the primary schedule sure has left
us a hole in the schedule where this would fit well.
It seems Sen. Obama has drawn different but similar
criticisms, that might be dealt a blow in one well
delivered speech. More below the fold...
From past experience, these types of
'MAJOR SPEECHES'
get incredible pre-event coverage.
I'm still shocked at the exposure that
Mittens got down in TX...and he really
didn't address voters' concerns.
But unlike Mittens, Sen. Obama actually
knows how to make several strong points and also has
figured out how not to contradict himself at the same time.
There are some voters who have concern with one or several of the following:
The Rev. Farrakhan, The Rev. Wright,
Michelle's lack of 'proudness', Sen. Obama's dissing
the National Anthem, or whether he secretly wants to stand by and let Israel get annihilated.
With a highly publicized and well delivered speech,
I’m highly confident Sen. Obama
could reassure the Jewish Community, expound
upon his Christian upbringing, faith, values
and expressed love for America.
He could also refute the anger of Rev. Wright’s
speeches as the false way to cure America’s problem.
These are all problems for Sen. Obama
that weave a similar thread.
Done well, a successful speech would simultaneous
put a spear through the rhetorical heart of FOX,
Rush, Sean, et. al.
Okay...maybe not the heart...but it would put a serious
wound to the effectiveness of their vitriol.
He could even bring the Bible that he was
sworn in on when he became a US Sen.
