Another day of manipulating spreadsheets at work, hour after hour. Numbers and cities, dollars and numbers, sorting and filtering. Good thing I like that stuff at a basic level (order out of chaos fills some niche in my soul), but after many days of it I am getting worn out. A long drive and chores to do just cap it off. Sigh.
Skip through the wormhole with me and perk me up. (In theory only, most likely, I doubt I'll be around much to comment. I will mojo tomorrow though if I don't stay here tonight. I suggest y'all check in tomorrow and do the same.)
I like the questions BinPM poses in his award-winning (not yet, but soon) feature Yes We're all looking at you. Let's answer two of them here and get to know each other.
Most of us can't splash in the kiddie pool because of schedules and priorities, hence Mojo Monday in the first place. So I'll ask YOU the questions. (I know, Mojo Monday (probably) gets less attention than C&J (Really? Ya Think?) but what's a WI Deadhead to do?)
- What music makes you feel invincible to the GOP horde?
A: Grateful Dead. A bunch of lazy bums with a passion for a good time just happened to stick together long enough to create a unique experience that has echoed through several decades. Sometimes listening to a show from 1968 it amazes me to imagine that whatthey considered to be just a passing moment can still bring me to tears 1500 miles and 40 years away. I doubt they planned to have that long of a reach, and yet there it is. Thanks guys, wherever you are.
And a few others... When the Music's Over by the Doors is a masterpiece. The Beatles, after 500 plays still can sound fresh and exciting. And my son. He makes his own music on the piano and gives me hope for the future.
- I think my cat just yakked on the bed, so ask and answer the last question your self.
Q: Are you really as nice as you seem?
A: Yes. I am as sincere as I can be. If I compliment you it is always sincere. I may be a scatterbrained chump with poor social skills, but I truly want to see others succeed and enjoy themselves. Except maybe (redacted) and (redacted).
