DIY: Do It Yourself.
I enjoy making my own political signs, and I even have some stuff for sale on Cafepress.
Well, last night I had a brainwave. I love my iPod and iMac (I used to be a PC stalwart, even overclocked chips and graphics cards to get high scores on 3DMark, until I moved in with the woman who is now my wife and got to use her G3 PowerPC Mac). And I think Obama's message of hope is incredible. So I created a hybrid of the two designs. Uploaded them to Cafepress, and sat back.
The design was obviously too close to the knuckle because of understandable copyright issues, and was withdrawn.
But if I can't sell it, I might as well give it away! More under the fold.
Just to go off tangent, it's nice to see Cafepress taking the high ground. Unlike Christian t-shirt stores that steal from others to spread their message... and that's just one site. I'm pretty sure there's something that said something something shalt not steal? Hmmm...
Anyway, if I can't make a quick $2 per t-shirt, I may as well give away the design. In wallpaper format. But you could always use the images in a Word document and wave it at an Obama rally (remember: set margins to 0.5", fill the page, and choose the Quality print setting for best results).
Download the iHope wallpaper / mini-poster:
1024 x 768 - standard screen / mini-poster
1440 x 900 - widescreen for you iMac people
Enjoy!
