In a bold stroke, Markos Zuniga Moulitsas informed Daily Kos regulars by email early today that" it's all too much, and I can't go on living the big lie." Admitting to close friends and associates at a Palmer House suite in the early hours of April 1, 2008 that he had secretly been funneling bundled cash to the Hillary Clinton campaign since February of 2006, he has decided that the Daily Kos website that he founded and managed will go black on April 22, 2008 immediately following the massive Clinton win in Pennsylvania.
Moulitsas denounced and rejected all previous support for Senator Barack Obama, saying that he had figured that his support would marginalize the Illinois Senator's race for President, but that he had underestimated his ability to sway liberals with his unflinching and thoughtful rhetoric. He admitted in his statement that "I made it all up, and I just couldn't stop myself," as so many concerned bloggers had written in the last months.
Kos, as he is known to confidantes, expects that he will be appointed Secretary of Energy in the upcoming Clinton administration, a post that has in the past been a sinecure for luminaries in the Clinton Orbit. He is expected to name formerly radical cronies to lucrative positions in the department. Names bandied about include Meteor Blades, DHinMI, and MissLaura, who will serve as Secretary of Infliction.
Although it has been impossible to find further sources to confirm this stunning turn of events, a careful analysis of the language of the email was undertaken by Jason Blair, who found that the the words therein are identical to the style of Kos to a probability of 97%.
The key phrases were, "Coup by Superdelegate," and a rambling paragraph about some guy named Foster and how Hillary had been right about him.
In response, the MSM has planned to suspend activities for the remainder of April 1, except for MSNBC, where Keith Olbermann plans a Special Comment on the subject of the fractures forming in the American Left and the death of honor in Politics. It is believed that Olbermann will be named Press Secretary in the Clinton Administration.
