Ok ok... there are no new election results in, but I propose that we start talking about these delegates like we talk about any other election.
Here are the numbers I am going with which I found on one of the major new sites... they may be slightly off... but you get the point:
Total pledged delegates: 3254
Obama votes: 1414 out of 3254 = 43.4%
Clinton votes: 1243 out of 3254 = 38.2%
Percentage of vote in: O1414 + H1243 +E18 = 2675/3254 = 82.2%
So there you have it. Obama leads Hillary by 5% with 82% of the vote in. Is that close? Is that 1200 votes in Florida 2000 close? I don't think so.
(Want to add supers? Call it 66% of the vote in, but that makes the assumption the supers will not be swayed by the winner of pledged delegates)
