Or at least one of them! According to Ben Smith at Politico, in an interview with an English newspaper, John Cleese says he intends to offer his services to Obama as a speechwriter if Obama wins the nomination because he thinks Obama is a brilliant man.

Cleese is whip smart and of course, 'wit smart'. I'm not sure that Obama exactly needs his help - Obama has a pretty dry wit himself- but I still quietly said "Yay" at my work desk when I read about it.
This will date me: I can remember when Monty Python was only shown lateish Sunday nights on PBS when I was growing up in Connecticut and it was very cool to stay up for it- but hoping my folks wouldn't walk in the room because I knew they wouldn't 'get it'.
