Today's daily Gallup polling passed a milestone that has not been breached in months, and yet I did not see Gallup comment on it. The poll showed Obama holding pretty much the same lead he has been throughout the week.

PRINCETON, NJ -- For the third consecutive day, Barack Obama holds a significant advantage over Hillary Clinton in national Democratic preferences for the Democratic presidential nomination, now 51% to 41%.
Hillary's number was slightly down from yesterday, from 43% to 41%. Just a small dip, just noise in the day-to-day results. Gallup did not comment on it, however this is the milestone.
You remember long ago? Really long ago? Like January 8th? When there were headlines like these (from CNN):
Carville and Begala deny Clinton campaign return
Craig files appeal over guilty plea in sex sting
Edwards: Obama will come under scrutiny
Clinton: 'I actually have emotions'
Bill Clinton targets media coverage of Obama
Obama campaign scoffs at talk of media 'free pass'
Richardson sets his sights low in the Granite State
Romney confident he will win New Hampshire
Remember those days? Because you'd have to go back that far to find the last time that Gallup showed Hillary's support was that low. Yes, on Jan 8th, the day of the NH primary, the Gallup daily poll showed:
Clinton 38%
Obama 33%
Edwards 16%
After her big upset win, the next day she was at 42%, and the rest is (recent) history.
Of course, head to head (as a percentage of the Clinton-Obama vote) even then, her support was much higher than it is today. In fact, today's poll shows her lowest level of (head to head) support for the entire campaign.
Considering Obama's within 1 of his strongest head to head number, she's at her weakest number, and his delegate lead (pledged + super) is the largest it's ever been - the discussion about Democrats "having doubts" about Obama and the possibility of overtaking him really don't rise to the level of plausibility.
And a wave of superdelegate support?
please
Edit: Ooooh reclist! Thanks everybody, makes me wish I had something clever to add to the diary now.
