Star Wars VII: Attack of the Islamofascists

It was a dark time for the Empire.  Darth Cheney's "So?" was not well received in many star systems, and Emperor Bush's expansive push to extend tyranny to all corners of the galaxy was crumbling slowly into chaos.

Democracy, human rights, and the rule of law, once mocked and derided by Emperor Bush and his generals, including Moff Tancredo, Boba Feith and Condi the Hutt, was beginning to emerge in many corners of the republic.

The Empire appeared ready to collapse, as internal strife, lies, and corruption plagued its hold on the star systems.

But an old, wizened, douchebag Sith Lord named Anakin Horowitz had other plans.

Trained with other Sith Lords in the Project for the New Sith Century, Anakin Horowitz had mastered the art of "The Jedi Self Mind Trick."  The Jedi Self Mind Trick was the ancient art of self delusion as a necessary component of populace control.

The Jedi Self Mind Trick allowed one to see horrifying alien fictions around every corner, so one could operate in a paranoid state of perpetual fear, and thus, malleability.

Sith Horowitz hatched his evil plan.  To spread the Jedi Self Mind Trick to all corners of the galaxy, and shore up support for the crumbling Empire.

Sith Horowitz's plan, to unleash fear of a new enemy.  An untraceable enemy, that only he could see.  It would be lurking around every corner.  It was, the Islamofascists...

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
