Yesterday I devoted my very first ever diary to the fiasco at the elections board meeting in our county.
Today I wanted to share with my fellow kossacks the duress under which above mentioned diary was written and why I am sure My So-Called Red State of Indiana is sure to go for Senator Obama.
If you send him, they will come
Barack Obama is holding a town hall meeting in Muncie, Indiana on Saturday April 12 at 9:45am. There won't be an empty seat in the house.
The head of the line at the two hour till tickets available mark.
As it continues down the block and, as you can see, around the corner.
Around the corner, I found even more people and as you will see below, even families were in waiting for their tickets.
Here is where it snaked into the parking lot behind the building that the Obama campaign office is in.
Up till the minute before the doors opened, I was doing data entry of the supporter cards collected in the line. My spot is the empty one at the top left. All of the other volunteers in the pic, save for Emily (in the green) and me who helped pass out tickets, went on with their work while a couple of thousand people filtered through the room to collect their tickets.
I wanted to point out Clarise Mason, far left, who as I mentioned in a previous diary's comments, is the coordinator of my local grassroots group, Muncie NonPartisans for Barack Obama. She has done a lot of work locally for Barack.
And finally the doors open, and in pour the people.
Until every last ticket was gone, and then some. We our so proud of our city and the students of Ball State University for coming out and waiting in line for hours for a chance to ask Senator Obama a question at the town hall event he is holding in Muncie on Saturday morning. Word on the street is there will be overnight campers to get up close.
I am one of the volunteers working the event and if there is anything of interest to be seen I will post photos.
Thanks to everyone who wrote letters or sent emails to our local elected officials and news media concerning the incident at the Delaware County Elections Board meeting on April 9th.
The only way to keep it fair is to keep our eyes and ears open.
