Late last week, Scott asked everyone to help us raise $50,000 in 5 days. That’s an ambitious goal for any Senate campaign.
Contributions poured in from every corner of the state and from hardworking people across the country. We remain awestruck and grateful.
I write to report that we fell just short. When the 5-day window closed, we stood at roughly $41,000.
We could fudge the numbers. We could stretch the truth. But we won’t run that kind of campaign because we don’t believe in that kind of government. Fiscal irresponsibility and political sleight-of-hand are what got Washington into the mess it’s in now.
Get ready for a new brand of leadership. We’re proud of what we did together. We’re confident in our mission. And we’re ready to continue our sweep across this state.
Thanks again for your constant support. We may not have hit our lofty goal, but we’re about to send a more powerful message: that Nebraska’s Brand of Change is coming to Capitol Hill.
All the best,
Jeff Jacobs
