This is my view on where we're at in the Democratic party at the end of April 2008. I know the DLC, the Republicans, the NeoCons, the DINOS and Lieberdems; I know the corporate media. I understand their agendas and how these agendas coalesce and sometimes even diverge. We all do. We've all spent countless hours reading blog posts, news articles, and books about these topics. So nothing I say here should be all that surprising...
only to some, it will be.
And that's entirely the point. The rest of the world can no longer afford Americans who don't know what's going on, who don't understand that corporate business is "just business," and honesty is meaningless in corporate politics. There are no such things as ethics or values when you're talking about incorporated political factions or corporate entities in general.
They are by definition sociopaths. And they deceive as a way of life.
Hillary's campaign was predestined to elect John McCain.
That's what this has been about from day one with the Republican party, the DLC, the NeoCons, the Lieberdems... etc.
Let's just all take an honest minute and stand back and look at it.
This was a swindle by the DLC, and Democrats almost took the bait. Incorporated Democrats didn't want to own Iraq, and they didn't want to do it all that differently than John McCain. So they rigged our primary to try and lose in November.
The wife of a guy who got head in the Oval Office, lied about it, got impeached by the House... she's going to run for President after a token senate career in which she more or less voted like Joe Lieberman? She's going to win?
No, of course not.
The war hero is going to win. That was the mission.
It always was.
And it just holds the mirror up to average Americans that the media was so easily able to convince people that Hillary was a legitimate candidate... that she could win.
This whole game is rigged as much as the corporate tools in the Republican party, the DLC, and the corporate media can rig it. That's just business. Hillary was a patsy, maybe she knew, maybe not. But she was never meant to win.
So let's just all be real about it and step back and call this what it was.
It was a test of the American public's wisdom.
And Obama will win... and we'll just barely pass that test.
Barely.
But we also very easily could have lost, and most Democrats won't score better than a D if we grade on a curve. That's just where Americans are at. Even Democrats. They're easily told what to think by the teevee. Americans are their teevees.
But the rest of the world can't afford it any longer and shouldn't be asked to.
Update [2008-4-24 1:6:34 by Flibberty Gibbet]: Many different corporate entities working for the same thing for their own reasons isn't a conspiracy. It's called politics. It's called business. In America the two have become the same thing.
Update [2008-4-24 1:44:48 by Flibberty Gibbet]: DemocraticLuntz has outed himself as a racebaiter and a liar. He uses softcore threats regarding antisemitism to bully his way through political arguments. It'd be sad, if it wasn't so common. But it's certainly transparent. Radical zionism has always been one facet of the problem with the DLC and NeoCons in general, but to call it out as one facet of the problem isn't antisemetic, even if Luntz chooses to lie about it and say so.
