I have always appreciated and respected Paul Krugman's writing in the Times. His "Conscience of a Liberal" is very much in line with my own thinking. But today's column--the latest in a series of anti-Obama screeds--shows that he really is blinded by the disappointment that he must feel when he realizes that his promised chief economic adviser role has evaporated.
What Krugman can't see is that Obama is not winning because of his "magic" (which he cites several times in today's column. He's winning because he and his team put together a strategy to win, then executed that strategy, so far, nearly flawlessly. Hillary's campaign, on the other hand, to spare everyone the gory details, has been a consistent downward slide since the beginning of this calendar year. She built the wrong team, with the wrong strategy, and despite all the advantages she had, she's now at a point where her Princeton professor surrogate with the column is calling Obama a "magical"...well, you fill in the rest.
