Clinton said "the tide is turning". Talking heads such as Buchanan talk about "momentum".
What non-reality based planet do these people live in? This is a Bush-class bubble, certainly.
Yes. There are some sheep like voters in the U.S. Some low information voters. People sitting on the fence can switch preferences quite easily. These people are not a tide, and definitely not a tide in a proportional system.
Clinton has also said that under a winner-take-all system she would already be the candidate. That may indeed be true. The proportional system is what we have and its extremely difficult to pull away without genuine victories.
Its claimed that Barack and Hillary are essentially tied. That he has an inconsequential lead. Thats BS, precisely because how difficult it is to rack up delegates in this system. You typically need landslides in an average county to get the "extra" delegate.. and those are the situations which produce meaningful wins.
Do both candidates need super candidates to cross the finish line? Yes.
All I want is for some person to show me any data to suggest that super delegates show any sign of being anything but roughly evenly split in preferences... or ANY evidence that this will change this season.
The tide is, in-fact, a dozen delegates worth of a ripple.
A rough (reality-based) split of SD's is a win for Obama. Period. Get the fat lady out here. We need some singing.
