Don't blame me. Im not a troll, so don't go there. I want the dems to sweep the elections this fall, as I have all of my life, and as all of my diaries indicate... strongly. I'm just a messenger here! Every day, I read all the polls diaried on DKOS that continually show Obama gaining, leading or about to win.
Yesterday and today, I see a sudden absence of polls around here and I assume it's because they are not so good. Now I know some will want to say "who cares about the polls", but that would be hypocritical since poll diaries figure quite voluminous around here when we all like what they say. Markos' posts most notably. Now the purpose of this diary is not criticize KOSsacks..I really want to hear what you all have to say about this week's polling news. I think it's good for all of us to address this issue. Whether we address it or not, the Bushbots will, and the media "heads" are. Regardless, we all have something to learn here, and knowledge is strength. This is probably just a bump in the road, and there will probably be more ahead, so let's figure out how to deal with those bumps now, rather than in October.
BTW..I sincerely wish that all KOSsacks would refrain from posting any poll by Rasmussen Reports. Scott Rasmussen is an evangelical ultra right wing pollster. He uses Dick Morris to propel his rightwing bull shit. Additionally, Rasmussen has not been very accurate, most recently in Pennsylvania where they predicted a Clinton victory of less than 5%.... out of their margin of error.
Additionally, one of the things that bothers me is that Rev. Wright is not helping matters. His front and center (egocentric) appearances have not been successful in helping Obama, nor himself for that matter. I don't believe any of these polls were taken after the resurfacing of Wright over the weekend. So I'm nervous about what end of the week or next Monday's polls will bring forth. It is in part about momentum, afterall. It's not a good thing that the entire media is now talking about Rev. Wright and that Obama is an afterthought, whose name is now surfacing as the "victim" or "recipient" of Rev. Wright's negative affects. It's not all the media's fault either, it is specifically the fault of Rev. Wright and the Obama campaign for not dealing with Wright before he started with his self centered exercise for 15 minutes of fame this week.
Also, it has been announced that the Gov. of North Carolina, Mike Easley will endorse Sen. Clinton today. That can't help the polls that will come out of North Carolina this week and over next weekend.
