Net gain: Obama 5, Clinton 4*
The latest superdelegate endorsement is that Obama gets endorsement of Texas DNC member John Patrick, who cited Obama's record on trade and fighting for working class.
Time and MSNBC also report that Sen Obam is expected to pick up three prominent Illinois supers — Mayor Daley, House Majority Leader Barbara Flynn Currie and Cook County Board President Todd Stroger — as the state finishes filling out its delegate slate.
This brings today new superdelegate count to +5 for Obama and 0 for Clinton . Time also note that Clinton is expected toget Connecticut AFL--CIO President John Olsen.
I will add updates as more endorsements come along today as some sources within the Obama's campaign have hinted....
Update 1: Time reports that Clinton has gotten four New York add-on superdelegates including,Attorney General Cuomo, Comptroller DiNapoli, former Manhattan Borough President Fields and Assemblywoman Arroyo. Maryland, a state Obama won, is also expected to announce its 2 add-ons today or Saturday (a State Central Committee member in MD who sits on the Rules Committee just announced that, contrary to what the schedule states, the MD delegate selection process will be held on Saturday).
So there are definitely more supers coming Obama's way...
Drip, drip, drip, drip....
