Huffpost has a headline that Hillary is considering a "Nuclear Option" to get the Florida and Michigan delegates seated.
One can excuse the duplicity of not running in those states while claiming a win afterwards. Perhaps the Obama camp would be doing the same thing if the roles were reversed, but his conduct throughout this campaign suggests he would not be engaged in such a nefarious and underhanded political swipe at the rules of the process.
Know what gets me though - it's the argument that one name on a ballot is a free and fair election. When I was in Civics class in High School, a professor informed me that our great enemy, the Soviet Union, had elections just like the United States. It's just there was one name on the ballot. :) - I'm not certain this is totally true of back then, but it is certainly a tactic Putin used in the recent Russian election to keep the best contender (Kasparov) off the ballot. Kasparov was denied on the ballot on some stupid technicality after overcoming three or four other technicalities to get on the ballot. This is EXACTLY the same situation we found ourselves in Florida and Michigan, where the best contender was not on the piece of paper that registered the vote.
The Clinton camp has not got it thru their head that a ballot with one name on it is NOT a fair ballot. An election held outside the election date (or primary season) is NOT a fair primary. Who knows how many millions of Obama supporters were disenfranchised because their candidate left his name off of what was going to be an uncounted ballot. In fact, every responsible Democratic candidate at that time - except the whiskey-swilling, gun-toting, nuke-lovin' Hillary, of course.
I will be on vacation - (even from Internet, thank the Lord) - for two weeks, so I will only catch up with Indiana and South Carolina on the radio, but please, please, please, Hillary Supporters, do not buy into the argument that one name on a ballot is a fair vote, especially in this election.
You will be taking yourselves down a moral slippery slope and you will be ashamed of yourselves when you reach the bottom.
