One of the leading stories on CNN as reaction to today's primaries is "Clinton: Full speed ahead to the White House."
Another says "Indiana exit polls show Clinton rural strength." Those of us who saw Keith's video featured today on the Rec List know how important that is.
What is with this framing?
How is today anything more than a crushing defeat for Clinton? The way the media is framing this is just disgusting. Thanksfully, MSNBC is doing a better job of covering it, with one of their leading headlines stating, "Options dwindling for Clinton: A split in Tuesday’s primaries does not amount to a draw."
CNN's delegate counter shows that anything less than 69% in ALL remaining primaries, and Clinton will not overtake Obama's lead. However, that is not taking into account NC and IN; if we add those, we get 85%.
85%.
85%!!!
Today was completely crushing for Clinton, and nothing less. She absolutely cannot take the delegate lead under any plausible circumstances anymore.
Why is the media pretending?
Personally, I'm tired of pretending. I'm tired of everyone acting like this is still a race. I'm tired of the personal attacks, I'm tired of the split we're experiencing in the party. I'm tired of the fighting. I've had enough. This is over. It is a lie to say anything else.
