In a surprising move today that caused some surprise among both Democratic and Republican voters, former media celebrity Don Imus publicly announced his support of Hillary Clinton. Well known Clinton surrogate James Carville welcomed his support and pointed to his own previous defense of Don Imus. Carville indicated that this latest endorsement by Imus vindicated his past defense of Imus.
Carville was quick to say however that he did not think Hillary should call Obama supporters "nappy headed hoes." Carville pointed out that it was sufficient to get the message across by just relying on portraying whites as "hard working" and devaluing African American votes. Carville pointed to George Will's recent column as evidence that Fermat's last theorem could allow AA votes to count for 3/5 in the primary (Carville appeared to be misquoting Will).
On the stump in West Virginia Hillary Clinton was quick to point out how she had recently called for the total obliteration of a third world country (Iran).
"We cannot win if we are San Francisco, blame America First, Prius driving, yuppy, latte sipping, aragula eating, birkenstock wusses on foreign policy" said the candidate as she downed her third shot of Canadian Royal, her hands reflexively coiling around her high powered scope rifle she had brought to the event.
"We have got to show those Republicans that we can be just as tough on poor Arab countries as they can be."
Commenting for CNN, Clinton supporter Paul Begala noted that after Clinton secured the nomination through her reformulation of Fermat's last theorem, which she would be presenting to superdelegates later today, the DNC would be rewriting rules to request that University Professors, long a bulward of Democratic Party votes would be asked to resign their membership in the Democratic Party.
"Look" said Begala, "we appreciate that these guys have theories and evidence and that sort of stuff. We understand their opposition to the Vietnam War and their support of voting rights and their support of the gas tax-and they might even be right" Begala conceded.
"But their kind of subtlety just does not play well to the electoarate and frankly, every time you see a college professor pulling out of whole foods with a bag of free trade, whole bean coffee it just underscores the inability of Democrats to connect with undereducated, low income voters."
