Times are not good for Hillary Clinton right now.
With her candidacy on critical life support, and the dreaded math (perpetually) against her; She got blown away in NC on Tuesday, while squeaking out a win in IN (all because of GOP intervention). What more could happen?
So after the Tues nights smack down by Obama. Clinton heard all the calls for her to get out of the race (Russert being first & primary).
Upon hearing all the negativity, she decided to promptly, change the subject, stand strong & hustle her way to West Virginia, in what she thought was friendly territory.
Boy was she wrong! Both Hillary and even Chelsea, got booed, heckled and interrupted, in what she must of thought was friendly "Blue Collar, low info, White Appalachian territory". Unfortunately, Clinton decided to hold her rally, in a progressive area in WV. Wow! And no one in the media told us this Yesterday.
You think people want her out of this election or what?
Check out this article yesterday in NY Times by reporter, JM Broder.
http://www.nytimes.com/...
"Mrs. Clinton put on her battle face Wednesday and confronted what was at times a hostile crowd at a hastily arranged speech here at Shepherd University."
Mr. Broder continues to describe the part of town they were in.
"Shepherdstown, a quaint and hippieish town on the Potomac River in the West Virginia Panhandle, is where Robert E. Lee led his Confederate Army in retreat after the battle of Antietam, the single bloodiest day of the Civil War.
Mrs. Clinton endured boos when she mentioned her proposal for a gasoline tax holiday, catcalls when she spoke of ending the Iraq war and, most difficult of all, the heckling of her daughter, Chelsea, who introduced her."
"End the dynasty!" a young man holding an Obama poster shouted when Chelsea Clinton stepped to the microphone.
All the while, a smile was fixed on Mrs. Clinton’s perfectly made-up face — not a hair was out of place — and she betrayed only an occasional glimmer of recognition of the exceedingly narrow straits she must now navigate."
The reporter continued to speculate about Senator Clinton's potential mental stability & psyche. He stated below.
"A pop psychologist might say that Mrs. Clinton was showing symptoms of denial or of being divorced from reality, but she has said for months that she will not quit as long as there remains a mathematical possibility that she could capture the nomination. That chance narrowed considerably Tuesday night, but the path is not totally blocked."
There's more in the article, of course. But either way; with loving Clinton overtures being spurned by Blue Dog Democrats-Superdelegates in, while Obama was greeted today like a visiting Prince or "Rock star" in the same Congress (let's see if the media shows that today).
Yes! Obama was greeted by a mob in Congress today by his peers (even Republicans). Several congressmen, and reporters have already relayed this story today. I hope we see the video on the MSM, you tube later. Here's the Politico link. http://www.politico.com/...
Either way. I have nothing against Clinton, and wish her no harm or embarrassment.(and certainly don't support royalty). But it seems the proverbial handwriting is on the wall (even Terry McCaulife was making sense, earlier today) for the Junior Senator from NY. Hard times it is.
The jig is up! All hail the new President elect!
We only wait for the nomination (but Congress already did).
PS: The earlier royal references were removed. No offense there. But it was only used to give a descriptive/humorous account, for how Mr. Obama received his "props". I'm certainly sorry, if anyone was offended. Also, this diary is not meant to denigrate Hillary Clinton in any way. Only passing info.
