Since Tuesday, there has been a noticeable and disturbing change in her political analyses.
Maybe she's upset at the MSM pile-on after Obama's all-but-nomination-clinching win on Tuesday, but these few days she always seems to be the odd person out in every panel she appears on.
Even KO noticed it on election night, commenting out loud how rarely he doesn't see eye-to-eye with Rachel.
I feel the same way KO does, and my wife commented on it unsolicited last night.
Since the campaign began, I've invariable seen the events of the day through the same lens Maddow did. She always seemed to do her best to remain legitimately "fair and balanced", without tipping her hand about her support for one candidate or another (unlike, say, Chris "Shiver Leg" Matthews).
For example, she was appropriately stunned when Hillary launched her "Only John McCain and I have passed the Commander-in-Chief threshold" line of attack.
Lately, though, as Hillary's campaign is in its final death throes, Maddow seems to be coughing up talking points that seem like they've been radioed in by Howard Wolfson.
Today for example, her headline on Race to the Whitehouse was "The Superdelegate Drizzle", the notion being that the pundits got it all wrong on Tuesday and there would be no flood of SDs to Obama. I don't know what constitutes a "flood" to Maddow, but nine SDs in one day, with one Clinton defection, is certainly more than a "drizzle" and a obvious indicator that the momentum has shifted, probably for good.
Anybody else sensing this change of heart for Maddow? Is she in the tank for Clinton but has had us all duped until now?
