Following up on Jeremybloom's excellent diary on Hillary's potential difficulties in NY State after her sustained and repeated attacks on the African American electorate

And in keeping with the principles of confronting Dems who refuse to Act Blue, I invite you to consider a potential challenger for Hillary in 2012
update
All those stating that Hillary can 'mend fences' fail to understand the antipathy that Hillary engenders in the Black community in NY. Without that support she cannot win. So, if we want to keep the seat we should begin thinking about who should run against her in the primary.
I want to preface what comes below by stating that this is my first diary so if I violate protocol or formatting, forgive me.
The person I would love to see challenge Hillary in 2012 is Eric Adams. Adams is a state senator from Central Brooklyn who got his start in politics during his 20 years with the NYPD by co-founding the organization 100 Blacks in Law Enforcement Who Care. 100 Blacks promotes transparency in law enforcement and seeks to heal the rift between the African American community and the police in the aftermath of tragedies like Amadou Diallo and Sean Bell. Adams, like another politician Kossacks love, created/worked with a non-profit to improve his community at a grassroots level and is widely respected throughout the Black community in NYC because of it. Adams, it is important to note, took quite a risk by founding this group during the Giuliani administration and was told that his career advancement in the NYPD would be destroyed. He did it anyway. He possesses the strength of his convictions.
Due to his work both within the NYPD and as a critic of NYPD If you search for Adams on Nexus, you quickly see that he is a go to quote for local and national media on criminal justice issues in NYC. This means he has cultivated good relationships with media at the NY Times, NY Daily News, NY Post, Albany Times Union, Washington Post and beyond. As a result local and national media would be forced to cover his campaign seriously. This would be essential to any primary challenge to Hillary.
Adams is an up and coming African American NY State Senator and he would give Dems in NY State (like me!) an opportunity to vote against Hillary. More importantly, he's pro-marriage equality, pro-choice, in favor of raising the state's minimum wage and expanding health care coverage. He is a product of NYC public schools and has expressed a strong desire to improve inner-city schools. He has good relations with the Dem machine in the city but, as his defiance of Giuliaini demonstrates, is independent enough to possibly run in defiance of Rangel et al. But then again, if Hillary challenges David Patterson for his seat the Dem machine in NYC might push him into the primary. I think the Senate could use a voice like his.
By the way, I am not a pol, do not work for Adams, don't live in his district (though I do live in Bklyn), indeed have never met the man. I simply admire his political positions and think that he might have what it takes to rid this state of Hillary forever.
