It's the middle of the night, even here in Anchorage.
So, I don't think I'll clog up the diary flow here at Kos, with just another rant about MYDD.
As you can see from my suspiciously low 'Orange Satan' uid, I've been a member, listener, and contributor here at Kos for a while.
I'm a 61 year old fart who supported McCarthy (and later Pegasus) in '68, McGovern in '72, Udall and Brown in '76, Brown and Kennedy in '80, Hart and Jackson in '84, Hart and Simon in '88, and Tsongas in '92, and Bradley in 2000.
Well, so much for my picking winners in the past 40 years.
Anyhow, I live in Alaska. Been here for 40 years. We're the crazy nuts that that cheered on our Senator Ernest Gruening, who was one of the only 2 Senators that voted against the 'Gulf of Tonkin Resolution'. And Senator Mike Gravel, when he ranted in the Senate against the draft and Pentagon Papers.
Last year I started listening to a young Senator from Illinois who was making noise about we don't need to settle for any more of the same, from Repubs, Clintons, or any one else that tells progressives to sit down and shut up.
Our Dem caucus up here in February brought out 4-5000 folks in parkas and long johns that voted 75% for Obama, as we stood, literally, elbow to elbow in a middle school in Anchorage.
So, about 2 months ago I heard about a Democratic blog called MyDD, that was dominated by Hillary supporters, but still had some free discussion about both candidates.
Last weekend, the owner of MyDD put an end to discussion on MyDD.
He unilaterally purged almost all of the Obama supporters from his 'My Direct Democracy' website.
Not only could I no longer rate comments, I couldn't even comment at all on any comments on MyDD. And I couldn't rec any new diaries any more too.
It's ridiculous, but that's how bad it's gotten with Hillary's delusional supporters, even on blogs that pretend to have a forum for free speech.
