Gallup has a few interesting polls out today: One on Obama breaking away from Hillary again in the daily tracking, another matchup one with McCain, and one where Hillary is perceived as being untreated fairly by the media (oh please). More below the fold.
The first Gallup Poll tells us:
Barack Obama has, for the moment, re-established a double-digit lead over Hillary Clinton in national Democratic voters' nomination preferences in Gallup Poll Daily tracking, 52% to 42%.
Can we get this thing over yet? When will Gallup stop this daily tracking poll anyway? It's over. Hillary will not be the nominee. Let's move on Gallup.
As for the second poll, Gallup states:
John McCain and Barack Obama are now virtually tied at 46% to 45% when registered voters nationally are asked for whom they would vote next November if these were the two presidential nominees, while Hillary Clinton maintains a 48% to 44% margin over McCain in a hypothetical Clinton-McCain matchup.
Finally, Hillary's pattern of victimology continues to pay dividends in public perception in the last Gallup Poll;
Although Americans in general think that news media coverage of the three major presidential candidates has been "about right," they are more inclined to say the media have been "too hard" on Hillary Clinton and "too easy" on Barack Obama and John McCain.
Bill and Hillary Clinton are two of the most prominent people to suggest that the news media have been unfairly critical of her and her campaign. The overall sentiment of the American public seems to tilt in agreement, with significantly more Americans saying the media have been too hard on Clinton than say that about either Obama or McCain.
I don't understand why most people can't see through this. The Clintons have obviously manipulated public perception on this front.
