I predict the next spin presented by the Clinton camp after the weekend's MI/FL ordeal comes to pass, will be something like this:
"the Superdelegates have stolen the nomination from Hillary."
So, just in case this comes to be, allow me to share the method of debunking I would use in the event they try to pursue an argument like this...
SourceWatch.org has been tracking an essential piece of information on the superdelegate race. That is, for each superdelegate, they list whether or not that superdelegate's choice of candidate matches the will of the voters who voted within their district. If you visit the page, and view each state's details, the info I am referring to is in the column titled "Agrees W/ Voters?"
Now, when gathering the totals of Yes/No's that appeared next to each Superdelegate in this column, allow me to further show how Hillary's total delegate count, up to this point, has been carried by an unbalanced number of loyalists who have decided to do support her against the will of the voters of their own district.
Hillary's Superdelegates Who...
Agree w/ their Voters = 183
Disagree w/ their Voters = 98
Total Superdelegates = 281
Obama's Superdelegates Who...
Agree w/ their Voters = 282
Disagree w/ their Voters = 35
Total Superdelegates = 317
So, let's look at what the Superdelegate counts would look like if each superdelegate were to actually support the candidate their district's voters voted for:
HRC: 281 - 98 + 35 = 218 Total
BHO: 317 - 35 + 98 = 380 Total
So if the argument comes to be that the Superdelegates are suddenly being "unfair" to Hillary, disregard that shit immediately.
