The committee must uphold its original ruling.
I think it is unfair and even dangerous to split these 2 state delegations in any way; a challenge is sure to follow and it does set a dangerous precedent to guess at voter intent. Also, the voters who stayed away from the polls on January 15th ad January 29th must be taken into consideration. It is also unfair to honor the elections because of the candidates who chose to honor the sanctions that this committee imposed last year. To seat these delegations now would be a bait and switch on Barack Obama (and Edwards, Richardson, and Biden).
The committee must stick to its guns and not allow the Michigan or Florida delegations to vote on the nominating ballots at the convention. However, the DNC could allow the delegations to be present.
Also, I am so mad at Dingel and others who chose to break the rules set forth by the DNC in the first place. These people created this mess, and Hillary Clinton magnified it. They are trying to justify their decision as if Michigan or Florida is more important than other states such as Iowa and the other early primary states as well as other states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, California, Hawaii, etc. Michigan and Florida issues are everyone else's issues, for the most part, and can be discussed in any of the early primary states. If they think that their concerns are more significant than those of other states, they should use their energy, influence and money to field presidential candidates from their states. I say this as a Florida resident.
