Look, I don't know what she was really thinking, and I'm not too inclined to be generous. I'm all Obama all the time. But today at work, trying to clean old caulk off a vinyl doorwall, I had an idea about how HRC should represent what her campaign has been doing in her concession speech. It would cast a different light on everything she's done. And it might help.
She should say something like: "When this primary campaign started Barak Obama was not ready to be the Democrat candidate for president of the United States. He was not ready to face the full onslaught of the Republican party dogs. But he is now! I threw everything I could think of at him, and I'm one tough (read: badass) opponent (read: bitch). Before this campaign he's never had to play real major league hardball. But he's ready now! He's been through it. He's as great as he seems!"
As pointed out by bigforkgirl, I know it is risky to talk about asses and bitches, but it seems to be OK to talk about dicks and bastards. Look, I know I'm not perfect, but I'm learning from my mistakes. I think this is a good idea in the interest of party unity, healing, etc., so I'm pushing it.
