believe I heard the comparison made earlier today that the Clinton supporters are in denial - this sounded familiar to me, and sure enough, there are seven stages of grief when suffering a terrible loss (such as a death)
Seeing as how the Clinton supporters are every bit as devoted to THEIR candidate as Obama supporters, it's reasonable to assume most of them will be taking these seven stages for a short ride, as will Hillary now that she has lost the race for the nomination.
Just to remind everyone they run as follows...in order
Shock or Disbelief
Denial
Bargaining
Guilt
Anger
Depression
Acceptance and Hope
I know there's been a lot of fuss about how Hillary didn't drop out last night, and there's been endless speculation over how many Hillary supporters will stay home or vote for McSame out of spite, but remember that no matter what they say or how insistent or stubborn they are, they are most likely going thru these seven stages.
Realizing this, I have a lot more patience - nothing has changed and nothing will change from here on out to Denver. Sounds like Obama might even break 2210 (or has done so already) under existing rules, and I don't believe there will be a serious fight at the convention once Hillary gets her bearings.
Give Hillary and her supporters time - remember that 7th stage - once they get there, they'll see the values are more important then the face in front of them and they'll join their brothers and sisters in Nov.
