If you check my diary history here, you'll see several on how the administration and their propaganda machine is reading from a prepared script re: "let's attack Iran".
Well today there are several new sources claiming that Bush will attack Iran before his term is out. One of them says he's going to do it especially if a Democrat wins the nomination. But the other is Rush Limbaugh, boasting of special insider knowledge:
Today on his radio show, Rush Limbaugh boasted about his insider access and told a caller that important Bush donors had assured him the President would attack Iran soon ...
Here's the quote as Thinkprogress.com reports it, from the link above:
CALLER: Well, you mentioned before that he Bush had some plan, before leaving office that he was going to do something.
RUSH: I had talked to a bunch of his donors and said to me that they can’t see Bush leaving office with Iran still a problem, a nuclear problem. And he’s not out of office yet, either.
The other is Daniel Pipes:
Daniel Pipes, a far right-wing pseudo scholar who called the NIE report on the halting of Iran’s nuclear program a "shoddy, politicized, outrageous parody of a piece of propaganda," said he believes that President Bush will attack Iran if a Democrat wins the White House in November. During an interview posted at the National Review Online, Pipes said that the U.S. and its allies should tell Tehran to "watch out" for "an American attack":
What I suspect will be the case is, should the Democratic nominee win in November, President Bush will do something. And should it be Mr. McCain that wins, he’ll punt, and let McCain decide what to do.
Thinkprogress is doing a good job of staying abreast of this stuff. Here? Not so much. Thus my diary.
I'm at work so I can't really develop this any further, but wanted to pass it along.
We need to impeach these bastards NOW before they kill any more innocent people. They are a menace to public safety, both here and abroad.
That's probably why Europeans View America As A ‘Force For Evil’ Under Bush (link again from Thinkprogress. They're sorta kicking Dailykos's butt right now as far as keeping up on current events.)
