While the Republican Party touts their economic policies as superior, there is absolutely no way someone would rather live under what will be McCain's tax policy over Obama's.
Commentary and graphic courtesy of The Washington Post:
"According to a new analysis by the Tax Policy Center, a joint project of the Urban Institute and the Brookings Institution... Obama's plan gives the biggest cuts to those who make the least, while McCain would give the largest cuts to the very wealthy."
While the mean average cuts pan out to be 2% for McCain and .3% for Obama, one would note that the median tax cuts would flip these numbers. Working off of the U.S. Census Bureau 2006 numbers: the median household income was $48,201.00. The median percent decrease from this graph using that value is roughly 2.4 from Obama and .7 from McCain.
