Meet the new face of Democracy, today the 3,600 Obama Organizing Fellows begin their training and the campaign is giving you and I and John McCain a peak inside... this has got to give Charlie Black nightmares
This morning marks the official kick off for the Obama Organizing Fellows program with trainings across the country for over 3,600 volunteers. These organizers will help make up the initial core of a true 50 state campaign. In Florida alone, training for 400 volunteers is underway.
"It makes you speechless, the level of commitment of these people," said County Commissioner Stacy Ritter, Broward chairwoman of Obama for America. "I've never seen this level of excitement in a presidential campaign - or any campaign - ever."
"We've tried to empower and engage these volunteers -- empower them to be responsible for organizing in their community."
They can exponentially expand the reach of the campaign in Florida, where the paid staff now numbers about 20.

Don't just rec this diary, make sure you are also signed up to become a Volunteer as by Mid-July, every state will get their share of "fellows"
We need volunteers with all different skills and backgrounds in every corner of this country. You'll be contacted as needs arise in your community, but by signing up now we'll know that you are ready, willing and standing by.
Now, for the scene in Ohio
In Columbus, Ohio, one spot for the Obama Organizing Fellows training, over 150 people are gathering to learn about the Obama campaign and how to organize communities this weekend. Various Ohio campaign staff are leading the training today.
On the organizational structure, Teams
All of the fellows are put into teams by Region. After the training, they will be placed into that Region to work on organizing that community.
There are eight teams for Ohio. Each team will have a coordinator, data manager, volunteer coordinator, voter registration and voter contact coordinator, and a house meeting coordinator.
The Fellows first assignment was to put their organizing skills to the test. They were given a City and a number and told to form their teams for the next six weeks.
This is happening in 17 states today across the country with communities welcoming and integrating with their Fellows as they reach their cities and towns...
