It was only three weeks ago that the First Lady of TalkLeft described Lanny Davis's proposed Michigan compromise - "Hillary gets all her delegates and some of Undecided's too while Obama gets zero" - as "eminently fair".

Leading one commenter at Balloon Juice to ask:
I know John wants us to be nice to Jeralyn, but what can you say when she buys into something so plainly stupid and absurd?

In short: Not someone I expected to ever return from the Land of Not Getting It.
She does seem to be giving it the old college try though...
I'm not going to spell out what's okay [in the comments] and what's not. Suffice it to say, TalkLeft and all three of its writers now support Barack Obama for President. He is the Democratic nominee and we are Democrats.

Yay! Unity ponies for everyone!
But only three paragraphs later...
You can't spread falsehoods, like he stole the nomination. He didn't. The Democrats gave it to him.
Yep. Those elitist latte-sipping superdelegates, in a backroom orgy of short-sighted woman-hatred, arrogantly put their support behind that inadequate black male who - despite being completely unelectable - gamed the system to finish 100+ pledged delegates ahead of The Best Nominee That's Possible.
This commenter promptly exposed the fatal contradiction at the heart of Jeralyn's position:
Jeralyn is setting guidelines, but the comments about taking Clinton at her word' are not logical, IMO. While Clinton might be forced by her position to transfer her support to Obama, I as a voter am not. ...
... some might be grieving the theft of the nomination by the DNC RBC committee, instead of the 'theft of the nomination by Obama' but this seems like semantics to me.

I know her right-hand man "Big Tent Democrat" - a.k.a Armando Llorens - will be reading this. So I address these comments to him...
You can't have it both ways, my friend. Obama - flawed vessel though you may find him - is now the only thing standing between you and the fascist Supreme Court justices that McCain will appoint. If you really want him to win, you need to either belatedly acknowledge that he won fair and square - and ride herd on commenters who bitterly cling to the fantasy that he didn't - or just keep quiet about your imagined grievances until after the general election.
Redeeming your blog from its current status as what another Balloon Juice commenter described as "a sanity-free zone since Super Tuesday" - http://www.balloon-juice.com/... - will be a nice bonus.
