Mr. Obama:
You told me that you were a leader who promised change, and I bought into that. I -- and many of my brethren -- have done nothing but support you tooth and nail against what we viewed as an establishment train-wreck. We did so gladly and willingly, because we heard your call for a new reality.
And now, the time has come for you to lead us. You are the nominee. You have control of the party. You have the platform.
SO: WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO SPEAK OUT TO STOP THIS FISA TELECOM AMNESTY?
Yes, we are watching. We are waiting. We are listening.
So far: you haven't shown up anywhere. The clock ticks along. We do not hear your booming, eloquent voice, speaking out against something which all of us here have branded as pure, unmitigated evil.
You have, apparently, taken your phone off the hook; according to other diaries, your people are confused as to why we keep trying to get you to say something...anything...on this bill.
This isn't going to go away. Its time for youy to lead -- and that means either (1) standing up and saying that you want the bill STOPPED, or (2) standing up ans explaining why you won't stop the bill.
You've asked for our support; we gave it. We now ask for your leadership, or at least, your honesty.
Its time.
