No matter what the Clinton campaign may have said during the primary season, they knew that the
Democratic Nomination would undoubtedly mean the presidency. All the numbers from the past few weeks
have shown this to be the case, although I think the freshness of Obama was always more appealing than a Clinton restoration.
51 Obama 36 McCain may seem a bit optimistic, but you can almost feel it in the air.

So Hillary probably never really believed what she was telling folks privately like Governor Richardson "He just can't win Bill." It's just that she knew the Dem winner would almost certainly become President.
Now, not only do I don't think we need HRC on the ticket, but I also don't think he needs to pick someone from her camp.
More and more, I keep seeing one man standing next to Senator Obama. A man about the same age, and physically the caucasian equivalent of Obama--Senator Bob Casey of Pennsylvania. Yes, I know a few pro-choicers will be upset, but the upside is HUGE. I know Casey didn't deliver PA, but that was right in the middle of Wright, and Bittergate. Catholic, working-class appeal, steady, honest.
Obama has made it clear he doesn't think he needs the National Security imprimatur that so much conventional wisdom deems. What he needs more is the American as apple pie imprimatur.
We heard during the PA primary that the chemistry was great between the two and I have a feeling (based only on my gut) this is the person who will be selected. It's not necessarily my first choice but a choice I can support wholeheartedly.
What do you think?
